The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) in cooperation with the World Federation of Teachers Unions (FISE) invites you to the international trade union conference on the topic:
«The role of teachers today, today’s school, public education, democracy in education»
The conference will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, on 28 -29 of October 2013.
We live in conditions of deep crisis of the capitalist system. The role of the teachers as educators and as workers is very important. The dominant ideology of the bourgeoisie demands teachers without rights, without dignity, without trade union action.
The WFTU and the FISE wants teachers to be active militants, democratic and collective educators. All these aspects make this International Trade Union Conference timely and important.
Participants will have to cover their own airfare. The WFTU will cover 2 nights of accommodation (breakfast included) and one meal per day.
