Stop the Massacres, Stop the War, Free Palestine
Israel is now murdering thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza slaughterhouse with impunity. The bombing of the Gaza hospital, which killed at least 500 people, including women, children and medical staff, is the latest and so far the most serious attack on a defenceless population that has been imprisoned in the Gaza Strip for decades by the occupier of the Palestinian territories.
Virtually all European governments, the European Union, the European and international mainstream media of the ‘democratic’ West have come out in support of Israel, allowing Netanyahu to continue his genocidal rampage of bombing the people of Gaza.
The Arab world is demonstrating, this time without distinction, its support for the Palestinian people, and the Arab masses are taking to the streets against the war declared by Israel against the Palestinian people, picking up the signal given by the courageous uprising of 7 October.
The stammering of the main forces of the European left is shameful and unacceptable, as well as the hypocrisy of the ETUC, which tries to erase the differences between the oppressed and the oppressors with a general call for peace addressed to Palestinians as well as Israelis.
The EUROF-WFTU and its affiliated organisations stand firmly with the Palestinian people for the recognition of the right of return, the recognition of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, call for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the siege of Gaza, and denounce and condemn the support given by most European governments to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
