FISE supports the WFTU’s Campaign

The 2021’s Nobel Peace Prize to be awarded on Cuba’s ‘Henry Reeve’ Humanitarian Medical Aid (brigade)

We express our solidarity to the Cuban people, trade unions, youth and teachers, who give a huge battle against the criminal exclusion that the American imperialism has imposed even in pandemic conditions.

In pandemic’s difficult time, the Cuban people have given and are continuing to give an example of humanity and solidarity all over the world.  More than 3.500 doctors and nurses located in 38 countries are offering their services by taking care of more than 250.000 coronavirus’s patients. While the Cuban doctors are saving thousands of human lives, other strong capitalist economies and capitalist states are expending in the pursuit of profits by exploiting both the health sector and the production of vaccines as well.

Literally, Cuba sends doctors, not bombs.

FISE supports not only the demand and campaign of WFTU to be given the Nobel Peace Prize to these international forces of the Cuban doctors and nurses, ‘’Henry Reeve’’ this year but also the demand of lifting the embargo that the USA have imposed for 60 years.

For us, this prize is a minimum recognition of the struggle that the Cuban people give at the moment and their offer in the field of coronavirus’s pandemic.
