Imperialism gives birth to refugees, racism, racial discrimination
Imperialism is not invincible
On the occasion of the International Day against racism and racial discrimination, the World Federation of Teachers Union, FISE, member of the WFTU expresses solidarity and support for the refugees and the immigrants.
It condemns the imperialist aggression, interventions and wars, the US, the NATO and the EU. Millions of refugees and immigrants are seeking refuge in countries where not murderous bombs fall. Millions of refugees and immigrants and, among them, young children are coming up against the inhuman policy of the countries that they want to cross or reach.
The EU and the bourgeois governments, follow a policy of police – military repression of refugees, who are trying to save themselves from war, misery and the slave-trade circuits. They shed crocodile tears for the refugees and the racism and at the same time they send troops to the NATO.
FISE invites teachers to strengthen the fight against the causes which uproot millions of people from their homes and at the same time to be on the side of immigrants and refugees who experience harsh inhuman conditions and to demand from the governments the necessary measures for the reception and decent shelter, to abolish all the repressive mechanisms of the EU, including the Dublin III Regulation.
It invites teachers to incorporate into their daily teaching, courses that highlight the causes that result in refugees and reinforce racial discrimination. To include lessons that enhance the young generation’s struggles against imperialist barbarism.
Against the efforts of the capital and the bourgeois governments to use the immigrant – refugee problem as a means of removing labor rights and intensifying the exploitation of refugees and immigrants, in total the working class, in the countries of destination.
The struggle of teachers is associated with the working-class struggle in order to strengthen the fight against the US, NATO, EU, against the imperialist interventions and wars.
So that the peoples live peacefully in their homelands.
To stop racism, creation of refugees and immigration
