On behalf on Honorary Teachers Federation Of India, GENERALISSIMO LEKH RANJAN B.PATRO despatched press release. Generalissimo Patro said, “Once again Government wants more 45 days to resolve salary Issue__which Is not acceptable, as Rehbar-E-Taleem has already given 19 days.
Further GENERALISSIMO PATRO said that the Government also refuses to release April salary according to 7th Pay Commission benefits.SO THERE WILL BE NO CHANGE IN ALREADY GIVEN PROTEST PROGRAMME.
Saraipally, June 1 ( HTFI ): The Rehbar-Taleem Teachers working under SSA have been deprived from timely release of their salaries and have pendency of many months salaries and pendency of arrears from years. The Jammu and Kashmir Rehabar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum has been representing the issue since a long time and is demanding its redressal. However the honourable Education Minister had earlier sought a time limit of fifteen days to redress this grave issue but no workable solution was sought out. Now when the forum came up with a protest programme from 4th of June onwards in order to press the government for delinking the salary of RETs from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) and to link it with state sector, consequently, the honourable Education Minister called a meeting with the responsible representatives of the forum. Which was held here in Civil Secretariat Srinagar on 31st of May. In the meeting Chairman JKRETTF Gazi Abdul Aziz, State President Vinod Sharma, Saleem Sagar, Sukhdev Singh, Ashiq Rasool, Qazi Tasleem, Hyder Ali Khan, Syed Misaq, Mumtaz Ahmad Shabir Ahmad Rah and other leaders participated. Though the Honourable Minister assured to redress the salary issue but , he again wants more than a months time for its redressal. So it was observed in the meeting that there was no sign of any good development from the part of government regarding the salary issue and government is not in a good mood to resolve it soon and wants to be given more time for the resolution of this grave issue. Ironically being regularised as Genral Line Teachers and availed the 6th pay commission benifits, the said teachers are now being refused to pay their April salary as per 7th pay commission benifits ,till the finance department will not approve the 7th pay commission benifits to SSA RET teachers , which is an open injustice with the said teachers who have been dedicatedly working in the department since more than a decade.
Later the forum called an emergency executive body meeting under the leadership of Generalissimo Patro, Chairman Gazi Abdul Aziz and State President Vinod Sharma. As the salary is a legitimate right of an employee , The Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-Teachers Forum unanimously decided that forum will firmly stand with the protest programme from 4th of June in order to mount pressure on the government for redressal of salary issue of the said teachers and the protest will continue till the issue gets resolved. Generalissimo Patro said, ” we will struggle at any cast for the cause of those Rehbar-Taleem teachers who are suffering and government is putting their services on stake. He appealed all Rehabar-Taleem Teachers and all the teachers unions to come forward at this crucial juncture and support the already given protest programme by the forum.
The Representatives of the forum who were present in the meeting are Chairman JKRETTF Gazi Abdul Aziz, State President Vinod Sharma, Saleem Sagar, Sukhdev Singh, Qazi Tasleem, Parvaiz Iqbal, Ashiq Rasool, Hyder Ali Khan, Peer Mushtaq, Pir Siraj, Mukhtar Ahmad , Azad Hussain, Syed Misaq, Shabir Ahmad Rah, Mumtaz Ahmad, Ali Mohammad, Mashooq Ahmad DP Badgam and many other leaders.
