Fise solidarity with the Pakistan Teachers Federation PTF
FISE, the World Federation of Teachers Union, an affiliated member of WFTU, expresses its solidarity with the Pakistan teachers and their organization, the Pakistan Teachers Federation (PTF)for the restoration of the House Rent Allowance of teachers.
We support their just demands to permit all teachers and administrative staff of educational institutions to draw a 45% House Rent Allowance as per the Pay Scale announced in 2017, as it has become difficult for teachers to pay rent from their limited slaries.
Workers as well as teachers have been carrying the burden of all recent measures taken during the last period, especially during the pandemic, and their consequences.
FISE calls on the government to implement the fair demands of the Pakistan Teachers Federation and to support the education and the teachers.
The satisfaction of the teachers’ salaries demands is a basic condition for the education that serves the needs of the young generation and it is an indicator of the level of the education in each country.
