FISE condemns the assassination of 42 students and a teacher in Nigeria’s state of Yobe, and extends its condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the teachers’ unions of Nigeria.
We invite the teachers’ unions of FISE, the teachers from all around the world to reinforce their struggle against the policy that gives birth to such incidents of extreme violence and terrorism.
The groups that assassinate students and teachers, and also unionists or other fighters, are “provided weapons” by the capital, which exploits peoples, captivating them in poverty, in lack of education, in fear and in insecurity.
